In a thrilling conclusion to the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in McKinney, Texas, Taylor Pendrith secured his first PGA Tour title. Pendrith took advantage of Ben Kohles’ mistakes on the final hole to win with a 4-under 67 and a total score of 23-under 261. Kohles, who had overtaken Pendrith with birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, finished a stroke behind with a final round of 66.

Alex Noren, another player seeking his first PGA Tour victory, finished in third place with a score of 21 under. Noren impressed the crowd with a tee shot to 2 1/2 feet on the par-3 17th. Other players at the top of the leaderboard included Aaron Rai, Matt Wallace, S.H. Kim, and Byeong Hun An, all finishing at 20 under or better.

Pendrith’s victory was a significant milestone in his career as it came in his 74th start. Kohles’ late-round mistakes cost him the chance at his first Tour win. Noren showcased his skills but fell short of claiming the title. Overall, it was an exciting and competitive tournament that saw Jake Knapp finish at 19 under after shooting a final round of 70 as second-round leader.
