High school students from the Park City Schools Center for Advanced Professional Studies recently took part in the Invest Nest Competition, a statewide event that offers the chance to win up to $30,000 for their business ideas. The competition, in its seventh year, is designed to provide students with an opportunity to receive investments for their ideas.

The Park City-specific competition will be held on April 23 at Park City High School, with the first-place winner advancing to the state competition in Provo on April 29. The top 10 student competitors will present their business ideas to investors, honorary judges, and the public on April 23. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 10 students, with the first-place winner receiving $10,000.

This year’s honorary judges include industry professionals like Ben Rifkin and Lenore Karafa. The prize money must be used to cover expenses related to their businesses, except that half of it can be used for tuition or college supplies. The Invest Nest Competition fosters innovation and entrepreneurship while also supporting students in pursuing their educational goals.
