Formula E driver Oliver Rowland was unable to compete in the Portland double-header last weekend due to illness. Nissan announced his absence, and reserve driver Caio Collet stepped in to replace him. However, Rowland has since provided an update on his health, stating that his condition has improved and he expects to be ready for the London E-Prix season finale.

Rowland is still in the championship fight despite missing both races in Portland. He has dropped to fifth place in the drivers’ standings but remains only 36 points behind Nick Cassidy, who failed to score any points last weekend. While he is considered an outsider for the title, it would be a remarkable achievement if Rowland were to claim the crown in his home country of Great Britain.

In a statement on Instagram, Rowland expressed gratitude to Nissan for providing specialist help during his illness. He thanked them for their support and care while he was unable to race. He also shared a message of hope with his fans, promising that he would be back on track soon and ready to continue fighting for the championship.
