The Football Rules Committee of the NCAA has recently approved new technology rules that will be implemented across all levels of college football. These changes include the introduction of a two-minute warning in the second and fourth quarters, similar to what is already in place in the NFL. Additionally, options for using tablets for in-game video, collaborative replay systems, and a modification to the horse collar tackle rule have also been approved.

One significant change that has been approved is the allowance for communication from coach to player through helmet-mounted devices worn by the quarterback and one defensive player. This rule is currently only available to FBS teams, but non-FBS leagues are invited to submit proposals to the Football Rules Committee by June 15th if they wish to use this technology.
