Village leaders in southwest suburban New Lenox are thrilled to announce the construction of a new $70 million sports complex, expected to open in the spring of 2025. The New Lenox Crossroads Sports Complex will feature 29 youth baseball and softball fields, 12 soccer/multi-use fields, a welcome center, a beer garden, batting cages, playground, and concession stands. In addition to the sports facilities, the complex will include a fieldhouse for basketball, volleyball, wrestling, pickleball, and other sports.

The project is expected to create significant economic development for New Lenox. Officials estimate that the first year will bring in $12 million in economic activity, with $20 million by year three. Once fully operational, the complex is projected to produce over $34 million in annual economic activity with more than 1 million visitors each year.

Todd Feuer, a web producer at CBS News Chicago who has previously written for WBBM Newsradio, WUIS-FM, and the New City News Service is excited about this project and its potential impact on the community. He believes that this new facility will not only provide an excellent space for athletes of all ages but also contribute positively to the local economy.
