The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) is bringing about changes in the administration of two healthcare facilities, the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming (VHW) in Buffalo and the Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) in Lander. In Buffalo, Greg Meredith has been appointed as the new administrator of VHW. Meredith, who is a licensed nursing home administrator and a Buffalo native, brings with him extensive experience in patient care, behavioral analysis, and leadership. He previously worked at WLRC where he honed his skills before taking up his new role at VHW.

In Lander, WLRC is also undergoing changes with the appointment of James West as interim administrator following the resignation of Jeremy Forbis. West is also the administrator of WLRC’s intermediate care facility and has stepped into the interim role while the facility searches for a permanent administrator. Matt Petry, Behavioral Health Division senior administrator with WDH, expressed his confidence in West’s leadership and the dedication of the staff in Lander to provide exemplary care to residents.

Both VHW and WLRC play vital roles in serving the healthcare needs of their respective communities by providing domiciliary care similar to assisted living care and skilled nursing care to veterans and individuals with high medical needs or difficult behaviors respectively. With new leadership in place, these facilities are set to continue their important work in delivering quality care to their residents.
