North Central Missouri College’s Robotics Automation Technology team, consisting of Keaton Pettlon and Zachary Walker from Maryville, recently won first place in the Missouri SkillsUSA Robotics Automation Technology Competition at State Tech in Linn. The team successfully completed their contest in record time, becoming the only team to do so.

Pettlon and Walker are under the guidance of Rick Sharp, an instructor at NCMC specializing in industrial technology. Sharp commended their exceptional performance and expressed confidence in their ability to excel at the national level. He is optimistic about their prospects at the upcoming National SkillsUSA conference in Atlanta, GA from June 24-28.

The success of Pettlon and Walker has placed them among the top two percent of the nation in the Robotics Automation Technology contest. Their skills have been showcased by completing their contest skill challenge with a strong competition spirit. With this win, they will now be competing at a national level against other skilled teams from across the country.
