NBCUniversal is expecting a huge success in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, with $1.2 billion in ad revenue already secured. This surpasses the previous record set by the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and is expected to continue to increase in the coming weeks.

During a conference call with reporters, Dan Lovinger, president of Olympic and Paralympic Sales, announced that NBC is on track to generate the most advertising revenue in Olympic history. A significant portion of this comes from new sponsors, amounting to $350 million. This is an encouraging sign for the success of the Paris Olympics.

Lovinger highlighted the importance of supporting female Olympians and reaching female sports fans, as over half of NBC’s primetime coverage during the games will be dedicated to women’s sports. Advertisers have a prime opportunity to connect with female viewers and celebrate women’s athletics at its highest level. The Olympics provide a unique environment to showcase women’s sports and attract a diverse audience.

Advertisers from various categories such as non-alcoholic beverages, consumer packaged goods, financial services, retail, and entertainment have seen major increases in advertising for the Olympics. The games are set to capitalize on the recent surge in support for women’s sports driven by events like the NCAA women’s tournament.
