Witnesses like Hannah Bodrozic and Guy Johnston also recalled the fear and confusion that engulfed them during the incident.
Roi Huberman, who was in a store at the time of the incident, said he heard gunshots and was told to lock himself inside for safety. The police later shot and killed the male suspect involved in the attack, resulting in multiple fatalities and many critically injured individuals. Videos and photos on social media showed emergency vehicles and a large police presence outside the mall.
