Sam Lange, a track and field runner from Michigan Tech, recently set a season-best time in the 1,500m race at the Phil Esten Challenge in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This impressive performance earned him the title of GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career at Michigan Tech.

Lange, hailing from Washington, Illinois, maintained his undefeated streak with an NCAA Provisional qualifying time of 3:48.38 in the 1,500m event. This win was his fourth victory of the outdoor season and marked a significant milestone in his career.

Looking ahead to the upcoming GLIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Grand Valley State on May 1-3, Lange and his teammates are excited to showcase their talents and continue their successful season. The championship promises to be an exciting opportunity for Lange to demonstrate his skills and compete against some of the best athletes in the region.
