The Mets have made a move to trade reliever Yohan Ramirez to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations. Ramirez had only appeared in three games for the Mets, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing seven runs, nine hits, and walking four. He also managed to strike out six batters during his time with the team. Unfortunately, Ramirez struggled on the mound, posting an 11.81 ERA and 2.43 WHIP.

One of Ramirez’s most notable moments with the Mets was when he was suspended for throwing at Rhys Hoskins during a series against the Milwaukee Brewers. His final appearance for the team was against the Reds on April 6, where he gave up five runs in two innings. The Mets have been actively trying out various pitchers this season, making roster moves like designating Ramirez for assignment and ultimately trading him to the Orioles.

This trend of evaluating and making decisions on pitchers quickly continued with the Mets designating Michael Tonkin for assignment before trading him to the Minnesota Twins, and doing the same with Julio Teheran this week. The Mets seem to be prioritizing finding the right fit for their pitching staff and making adjustments swiftly when necessary.
