Linebacker Tae Davis has re-signed with the Panthers for the 2024 season, after spending the second half of last season with the team. The terms of his new contract were not disclosed, but it is reportedly a one-year deal.
During his time with the Falcons in the first half of last season, Davis played in eight games before being released in November. He then joined the Panthers and played in eight more games, primarily on special teams. In total, he made seven tackles between his two stints with the two teams.
Prior to joining the Panthers and Falcons, Davis has also played for the Browns and Giants. Known for his ability to cover kicks, Davis is expected to see more action in that role in the upcoming season as the league implements changes to kickoffs. This will give him an opportunity to showcase his skills and contribute to the Panthers’ success on special teams.
