The doubleheader between the University of Jamestown and Doane University saw a nail-biting 2-1 win for the Jimmies over the Tigers at the Nelson Family Bubble on Friday, April 19. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Mackenzie Lefebvre hit a double to drive in two runners, giving Jamestown a 2-1 lead.

Despite allowing a run in the sixth inning, Hope Ransome of Jamestown retired four of the next five hitters and pitched a complete game, giving up only one run on four hits while striking out six and walking two. On the other side, Abbi Arroyo started for Doane and pitched 5.1 innings, allowing one earned run on five hits with one walk and one strikeout.
