Running back J.K. Dobbins has been actively seeking a new team after his torn Achilles injury sidelined him during the first week of the 2023 regular season. Following a visit with the Chargers last week, Dobbins is currently in Kansas City to meet with the Chiefs. Despite his recent setback, Dobbins has been cleared for all football activities and is looking to make a comeback on the field.

Dobbins had a standout rookie year in 2020, rushing for 805 yards with nine touchdowns and an average of 6.0 yards per carry. However, he missed the entire 2021 season due to a torn ACL but made a return in 2022, playing eight games and averaging 5.7 yards per carry. This past season was cut short due to his injury, leaving him eager to get back into action and prove himself once again on the gridiron.

With fellow former Ravens running back Gus Edwards signing with the Chargers last month, Dobbins’ meeting with the Chiefs comes at an interesting time as he seeks out new opportunities in the AFC West. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dobbins is expected to sign with a new team soon, indicating that his meetings with AFC West teams could lead to a deal in the near future.

As J.K. Dobbins continues his search for a new team, he remains hopeful that he can find success once again on the field while also inspiring others who have faced similar obstacles in their careers.
