Instagram’s director of fashion collaborations, Ava Chen, has introduced a new program called Creator AI that aims to help influencers engage with their followers more efficiently. The platform will offer an AI-driven chatbot that mimics the influencer’s voice and possibly creates an avatar to automatically respond to fans in a more personal and authentic manner.

The chatbot will deliver most messages automatically, clearly stating that they are AI-generated responses. This initiative aims to alleviate the pressure of responding to a high volume of messages and comments for influencers with large followings while keeping them connected with their fans.

Content creators can select the data Meta uses to imitate their expressions and create a virtual persona to interact with fans based on the influencer’s past responses and engagement. Meta representatives have declined to comment on the specifics of the program or its potential reach. However, this initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing the engagement and communication channels between influencers and their followers in a more efficient and personalized manner.
