Mathew Collins, a healthcare industry veteran with extensive experience in improving and expanding services related to home care, hospice, palliative care, and other essential health services, has been appointed as the director of home care services at Androscoggin Home Health Care & Hospice in Lewiston.

Collins most recently co-led the Palliative Care Service line at Northern Light Health, an 11-hospital clinically integrated delivery system in Maine. During his time there, the Palliative Care Service line expanded significantly by 66%, with new access points established, including inpatient programs, physician practices, virtual inpatient and outpatient programs, and a community palliative care program that served the entire state. Additionally, Collins was a leadership coach for Northern Light’s Clinical Process Improvement Program.

Prior to his role at Northern Light Healthcare, Collins worked as a provider relations liaison for Northern Light Home Care and Hospice. In this position he focused on growing home health, hospice and home care services and integrating a newly merged agency. He also served on the board of the Maine Council on Aging before taking on the position of director of provider relations at Central Maine Healthcare – a three hospital clinically integrated health care system where he led growth and transformation efforts for various service lines such as cardiovascular orthopedics surgical services and cancer care.

Collins’ background in provider relations , leadership and strategic growth initiatives will be valuable assets in his new role at Androscoggin Home Health Care & Hospice where he will focus on improving and expanding services related to home care and hospice care for patients in the Lewiston area.
