India’s Khavda Renewable Energy Park is set to become one of the largest clean energy farms in the world, with a projected capacity of over 30,000 MW (30 GW) and the ability to produce 1,000 MW of electricity in less than 12 months after commencing construction. The park, located near a remote landing site in western India, will significantly reduce India’s reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation.

The solar farm at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat benefits from strong solar radiation and abundant wind resources, making it an ideal location for harnessing renewable energy. Modern technologies such as India’s largest terrestrial wind turbine generator and double-sided solar cell modules will be employed to maximize energy production. Additionally, a horizontal single-axis tracking system will enhance energy collection from the sun.

Aside from providing renewable electricity to millions of households, the Khavda project aims to mitigate climate change by reducing 58 million tons of CO2 emissions. The use of advanced technologies such as waterless cleaning robots and underground rock columns for soil stabilization will ensure the longevity and efficiency of the facility.
