Rob Futrick, Chief Technology Officer of Anaconda Inc., has been named to the Forbes Technology Council, a distinguished group of top technology executives. As a member of the council, Futrick will be sharing his expertise on the use of secure, accessible open-source AI development tools that empower users to build AI quickly and securely.

Futrick’s focus will be on leveraging Python, open-source data science, and AI development tools to help business leaders across all industries build AI faster and more confidently. He believes that organizations must ensure their solutions are both secure and scalable in order to fully benefit from the surge in AI innovation.

With his extensive experience in software and product development, Futrick will contribute articles on how to increase ROI, scale adoption, and accelerate time-to-value with AI and data science solutions. He will also share his insights on Forbes.com Expert Panels alongside other technology leaders.

Futrick’s background in building and scaling engineering teams for leading companies made him an ideal candidate for the council. Prior to his role at Anaconda, he was the product lead for Azure’s HPC and AI software platform following Microsoft’s acquisition of Cycle Computing, a company he co-founded.

Throughout his career, Futrick has shared insights from advanced technologies like AI, machine learning, and expanded data sources that can drive improved outcomes for data science practitioners, non-technical users, and business leaders alike.
