The Hancock Bulldogs softball team had a successful doubleheader against Norway at the Hancock Driving Park. In the first game, Brooke Koskela drove in four runs and Sofie Freeman went 3-for-4 in the nightcap, leading the Bulldogs to a sweep of the Iron Mountain Mountaineers with scores of 12-0 and 18-2.

Koskela had an impressive game, with a single, a triple, and a two-run home run in the fifth inning. She finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Sydnie Scholie also contributed, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, a double, and a run scored. Freeman went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while Ella Storm also went 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Sadie Biekkola was stellar in the pitcher’s circle, striking out 10 batters and only giving up two hits while also making an impact at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

In the second game, the Bulldogs had a strong offensive performance, scoring seven runs in the second inning and nine in the fourth. Diem Kilpela picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle
