On May 4, 2024, the annual Healthy Kids Day® was held at the Statesboro Family YMCA in Statesboro. This free event, open to the public, aimed to promote health and fun for kids and families as they prepared for summer. The day was filled with various activities to engage both children and adults.

Some of the featured activities included family field day activities, group fitness demonstrations, vendor booths, water activities, bounce houses, and more. Free fruit was also distributed at the event. Hannah Beggs, Executive Branch Director at the Statesboro Family YMCA, emphasized that the day was all about kids having fun and enjoying themselves in a safe and healthy environment.

The event aimed to encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits among children while providing a free and secure space for them to play within the community.
