Harriet Torry, a veteran reporter with 14 years of experience at the Wall Street Journal, has been assigned to cover the Western U.S. economy from Houston, Texas. Previously, she focused on covering consumers in the U.S. economy from the Washington, D.C. bureau, where she also covered the Federal Reserve. Torry began her career at the Journal in Frankfurt in 2010 as a financial reporter and later moved to Berlin to report on the German government and economy amidst the eurozone sovereign debt crisis before returning to the U.S.

On the other hand, Chris Roush has recently been appointed as dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He previously held the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism title at UNC-Chapel Hill and has a wealth of experience in business journalism having worked for several renowned publications including Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune, and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Roush is also an accomplished author with two well-known books to his name – “Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication” and “Thinking Things Over,” a biography on former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
