Four-year-old Bryan Patrick from New Bern, North Carolina has just completed his first book and is on a mission to become the world’s youngest author. His parents, both educators, noticed his love for letters at a young age and encouraged his passion by creating an alphabet garden in their backyard.

Bryan’s love for letters extended beyond the garden and into all aspects of his life. He would dress up as a superhero of his favorite letter ‘B’ and read books with enthusiasm. His parents were amazed by his abilities, which included reading fluently, knowing letter sounds and even being able to multiply and divide at such a young age.

Determining an appropriate grade level for him was challenging due to his advanced abilities that were typically taught to older children. Each night, Bryan would spend time typing out the alphabet on the computer, eventually progressing to sentences and then an entire book in just one month.

With support from the community, Bryan hopes to sell 1,000 copies of his book and claim the title of the world’s youngest author. His family is hosting a book launch party in New Bern to support this goal. While another four-year-old currently holds this title, Bryan’s age could make him the new record holder with community support.
