Florida cities are attracting movers from all over the country, according to a recent analysis by Business Insider. In fact, eight Florida metro areas were among the top 12 metros with positive net domestic migration rates.

One of the most attractive destinations for movers is Wildwood-The Villages in Florida, which had the highest net domestic migration rate per 1,000 people. This metro area also experienced significant overall population growth from July 1, 2022 to July 2023, with a 4.7% increase in population from 144,767 residents.

Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington in Texas had the greatest total positive net domestic migration among metros, with a value of 60,457. Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater in Florida also had high values of net domestic migration, with values of 39,644 and 35,830 respectively.
