This May, there are several exciting events happening in the Flathead Valley that you won’t want to miss.

First up is the Fundraiser Alliance Title & Escrow 13th annual Closing the Hunger Gap food drive, which will take place throughout May at Flathead Valley branches. Drop-offs can be made during business hours, Monday to Friday, until May 31. Since its inception in 2012, this campaign has contributed an impressive 268,116 pounds of food and $377,184 to local communities in need.

The Bigfork Chamber of Commerce is also hosting an event this month – their May Sundowner on May 9 at 5 p.m. at the Tall Pine located at 435 Grand Drive in Bigfork. This is a great opportunity for business professionals in the community to network and learn about upcoming events.

On May 14, the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce will hold its May membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Creek Lodge, 930 Second Ave. W in Columbia Falls. The guest speaker for this event will be Doug Mitchell, the executive director of the Glacier National Park Conservancy.

For businesses looking to get the most out of their chamber memberships, there are two valuable sessions happening this month: Maximize Your Membership on May 6 from 8-9 a.m., hosted by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205; and Government Affairs Committee Meeting on May 6 at noon also hosted by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205. During this meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Jarod Nygren from the city of Kalispell regarding the Main Street Safety Action Plan.
