The Franciscan Health Burrell Cancer Center is hosting a series of free support groups for cancer patients and their caregivers. These groups provide a safe space for individuals to share their experiences with others who are going through similar challenges. In addition to group discussions, there will be guided sessions on relevant topics to provide additional support and information.

The support group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Central time through December. The meetings will take place in the Burrell Cancer Center Conference Room at the Franciscan Health Main Street Outpatient Center, located at 1201 S. Main St. in Crown Point. Attendees are asked to enter through the Burrell Cancer Center entrance on Court Street.

While registration for the support groups is free, space is limited to 10 participants per session. Participants can choose to attend one or multiple sessions, but they must register for each session separately. Additionally, attendees may be asked to wear masks while inside the Cancer Center for everyone’s safety.
