This week, the city will be alive with a vibrant international feel as the fourth annual Journey Across the World event takes place at the Paramount Center for the Arts. A collaboration between the city and St. Cloud State University, this cultural experience promises to showcase a diverse range of global cultures through performances of song, dance, and other lively acts.

Speaking about the event, Shahzab Ahmad, SCSU Associate Vice President for Global and Multicultural Engagement, expressed his desire to highlight the 96 countries represented by students at the university. However, he also noted that due to logistical constraints, they would be focusing on larger cultural groups on campus during this year’s event. With about 20 different presentations planned, there is plenty to see and experience.

One of the highlights of Journey Across the World is undoubtedly the fashion show featuring over 100 students from various countries. Ahmad believes that this unique opportunity will appeal to people of all ages and offer a glimpse into cultures from around the world in one evening. The event is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Paramount Center for the Arts in downtown St. Cloud, with tickets priced at $6 each.
