CommonSpirit Health and Anthem insurance have reached an agreement in Southern Colorado that guarantees individuals with Anthem insurance will be considered in-network when receiving treatment at CommonSpirit facilities. The deal was struck after CommonSpirit Health system’s transition to out-of-network status for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance customers on May 1.
As a result of this newly brokered agreement, any healthcare services obtained by Anthem members at CommonSpirit since May 1 will be covered at the in-network benefit levels. The agreement is expected to remain valid for the next five years.
