On Tuesday morning, Education Service Center Region 12, a nonprofit organization that serves school districts in Central Texas, surprised teachers at Copperas Cove’s Fairview/Miss Jewell Elementary School with a grant of over $14,000. The school received a total of $14,778 to purchase Merge Cubes, which will be used to integrate augmented reality into elementary libraries and increase interest in STEM subjects. This grant was part of around $85,000 distributed by Education Service Center Region 12 this week, impacting eight school districts and an estimated 5,354 students.

Education Service Center Region 12 is dedicated to supporting educators and school personnel in their efforts to improve student outcomes across its 12-county and 77-school district service area. Lakewood Elementary School from Belton ISD was also awarded a grant of $12,940 to purchase Lightspeed Redcat devices that will enable teachers to communicate and facilitate group work in campus collaboration spaces.

Both Fairview/Miss Jewell Elementary School and Lakewood Elementary School are among the many recipients of grants from Education Service Center Region 12. These grants play a vital role in providing resources and tools that can enrich the learning experience and support teachers in their mission to educate and inspire young minds. With the support of organizations like Education Service Center Region 12, schools are able to innovate and create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity, creativity, and growth for students.
