An emergency situation occurred when a 20-year-old patient suffered severe damage to his arm while operating a straw rolling machine. The injury resulted in the need for immediate medical attention, and the victim was first given first aid at a nearby medical facility before being transferred to Xuyen A Long An General Hospital.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Doctor Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Head of the Department of Trauma and Orthopedics, assessed the patient’s condition. After examination and CT scan, it was determined that the patient had severed blood vessels and nerves, requiring amputation to save his life.

The medical team performed the necessary surgery to shape the stump of the patient’s arm and closely monitored his recovery process. Following the surgery, the patient was discharged from the hospital with instructions for wound care and infection prevention.
