The JMU Women’s Basketball team is gearing up for the 2024 season, and with it comes an exciting time for fans to keep track of any changes to the roster. Sponsored by Three Notch’d Brewing, the 2024 Women’s Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker will provide updates on any additions or departures from the team.

Although there isn’t expected to be significant turnover this offseason, some notable changes have already been made to the Dukes’ roster. One such addition is Ro Scott from Marshall, a graduate transfer guard who led the Thundering Herd in scoring in the 2022-23 season. Scott is considered a quality scorer from the Sun Belt conference and is expected to provide an offensive boost to the Dukes with one year of eligibility remaining.

On the other hand, there have also been some departures from the JMU Women’s Basketball team. Chloe Sterling, who played as one of the team’s point guards in the 2023-24 season, has decided to leave the program. Sterling was a key player for the team, leading them with 87 assists and showcasing scoring potential. Fans had hoped that she would stay in Harrisonburg and develop into an All-Conference player at mid-major level.
