BASF has no problem with using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create application documents as long as the content is accurate, according to a spokesperson for the group. They see AI as a future technology and want applicants to be open to new technologies. While there has been no systematic testing of application documents at BASF for AI use, there have been instances where such applications have been received.

At BASF, AI is used for the evaluation of application documents, specifically for analyzing CVs. This technology recognizes words and phrases and assigns them to different sections of the document, such as personal data, professional experience, and skills. However, human evaluation is still essential for the overall assessment of applications.

An informal survey conducted by the German Press Agency found that some large companies in Germany are using AI in the application process. While the use of AI in application documents is expected to increase, it is noted that the application letter plays a limited role in the selection process for training positions at BASF.

In conclusion, BASF views the use of AI in application documents as a positive step towards embracing new technologies. While there may be an increase in the use of AI in the future, human evaluation still plays a crucial role in the overall assessment of applications.
