Last week, Eagles edge rusher Haason Reddick agreed to defer a $1 million roster bonus until April 1, providing the team with additional time to find a trade partner for him. On Friday, the Eagles reached an agreement to trade Reddick to the Jets for a conditional third-round pick that has the potential to become a second-round pick, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

The Jets are expected to extend Reddick’s contract and assume $14.5 million of his compensation for the 2024 season, which is the final year of his current deal. The Eagles will still be responsible for paying the $1 million roster bonus as part of the trade agreement.

Reddick, who is 29 years old, started every game for the Eagles during his two seasons with the team and earned 27 sacks and two Pro Bowl selections in that time. He has recorded double-digit sack totals for four consecutive seasons prior to his time in Philadelphia. Prior to his time in Philadelphia, Reddick spent four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and one season with the Carolina Panthers. Now, he is set to join the Jets and continue his career in New York.
