Chase Elliott has denied any involvement in Denny Hamlin’s overtime accident during the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. The No. 11 Toyota driver was leading Elliott door-to-door for the lead during the green-white-checkered finish when his car spun sideways and collided with the outside wall, ending his chances of a top-two finish.

Hamlin had already secured wins at Bristol Motor Speedway and Richmond Raceway this season, leading 37 laps at Texas Motor Speedway. Despite his strong performance throughout the race, he was forced to settle for a 30th place finish after the overtime accident.

This marks the third time in the past five races that Hamlin has finished outside of the top 10, despite leading laps in each of the season’s first nine races. However, Hamlin is not one to dwell on his mistakes and is looking forward to moving on from this incident and focusing on his next race.
