Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) has recently acquired Asymmetric Technologies, a company founded in 2011 that specializes in open-source technologies, flight controllers, and waveform technologies tailored to meet the specific needs of national security and Department of Defense (DOD) clients. This acquisition aims to enhance CTI’s product portfolio and technology capabilities to better serve its customers.

Asymmetric’s IronClad and Whisper systems will be integrated into CTI’s offerings, providing more comprehensive software and purpose-built hardware products to its customers. This acquisition reflects CTI’s commitment to investing in its business to address the evolving national security landscape. CEO Jay Moorman expressed excitement about the new opportunities this acquisition will bring to the company.

CTI is a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on middle-market businesses in the defense and government services sector. This transaction marks CTI’s second investment in delivering new platforms to meet the unmanned aircraft system requirements of the DOD. With this acquisition, CTI is well-positioned to provide cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
