The University of Minnesota’s Credit Up! program will be expanding to include all 11 ticketed sports starting in the Fall of 2024. Originally available for men’s and women’s hockey, this program is part of the Gopher Ticket Utilization Program and allows season ticket holders to return their tickets to the athletics department in exchange for credit.

Season ticket holders can use this credit towards renewing their season tickets for the same sport the following year. Any accumulated credit that is not donated will automatically be applied to the renewal application for the next season. If fans choose not to renew, the credit will be converted into a tax-deductible donation to support Gopher Athletics. No refunds will be issued in this case.

Alternatively, season ticket holders can choose to convert their credit into a tax-deductible donation to support Gopher Athletics. The credit amount will go towards the enhancement fund of the applicable sport, and fans will receive Gopher Loyalty Program points for their charitable contribution.

Once tickets are returned through the Credit Up! program, the athletic department will work to get them into the hands of fans who wish to attend the event. This may involve reselling the tickets, fulfilling donation requests, or partnering with local organizations like Tickets for Kids. Credit Up! debuted during the 2023-24 men’s and women’s hockey seasons and will expand to include baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, football, gymnastics, soccer, softball, volleyball
