Cox Communications and Diamond Sports Group have recently announced the renewal of their multi-year distribution agreement for Diamond’s regional sports networks. This agreement ensures that Cox Contour TV Preferred and Ultimate customers will continue to have access to live MLB, NBA, and NHL games, as well as team-related content on Diamond’s RSN channels.

Customers who do not have access to Diamond’s RSN channels will have the option to purchase Diamond’s Direct-to-Consumer product, including through Cox, to access local DTC content for the teams that Diamond retains rights for. For those who already subscribe to Cox and want to stream Diamond’s RSN content, they can do so through the Bally Sports app by authenticating with their Cox subscription credentials.

David Preschlack, CEO of Diamond, sees this agreement as a significant milestone for the company’s future business endeavors. He expresses his pleasure in continuing the partnership with Cox to provide high-quality local sports broadcasts to dedicated fans. Suzanne Fenwick, Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition for Cox Communications, also expresses delight in extending the partnership with Diamond and looks forward to delivering regional sports content to Cox subscribers.

This renewal with Cox follows Diamond’s previously announced multi-year renewal of its distribution agreement with Charter Communications, Inc., further solidifying the company’s commitment to providing top-notch sports programming across multiple platforms.
