The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is fast approaching, with only a few seats remaining. Taking place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1st, this event provides small business owners with an opportunity to connect with city officials and discuss ways in which the city can support their success.

The event will feature key speakers including Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella and other city staff members. Attendees will have the chance to share their experiences and provide feedback on what is working well and what improvements could be made. They will also learn about the business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.

Even seasoned small business owners may benefit from this event, as Mayor Ortega emphasized the importance of continuous learning. The event will begin with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 am, followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 am.

Admission to the event is free, but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite. The event is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
