Abilene and Taylor County residents rely on Community Health Workers to maintain their safety and well-being. These dedicated individuals listen to the needs of the community and effectively communicate those needs to ATCPHD. Their primary role is to help community members access the resources necessary to maintain good health through various outreach activities and community engagement efforts.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $15, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals who are passionate about improving the health and well-being of their community. To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to work collaboratively with a team, as well as possess strong communication skills and an ability to reduce cultural and socio-economic barriers within the community.
