Colombian superstar Shakira recently made her first-ever appearance at Coachella with Bizarrap at the Sahara Tent. Fans eagerly welcomed her with flags from Argentina and Mexico as she announced her upcoming world tour to promote her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.

The Argentine DJ’s set included his mega-hit with Shakira, as well as songs with Quevedo and Villano Antillano. Bizarrap’s house-heavy set at Coachella got the crowd hyped with songs from his popular Music Sessions series featuring talented Latin American MCs like Quevedo, Rauw Alejandro, Villano Antillano, and Young Miko. He also brought a taste of Mexican corridos with a recent session featuring Natanael Cano and “Entre Las 20,” along with his energetic collaboration with Peso Pluma.

Shakira’s performance came after reports that she was considered for a headlining spot that ultimately went to someone else. In Times Square, she drew a massive crowd of over 40,000 fans as she showcased songs from Las Mujeres No Lloran. A Rolling Stone review praised the album, highlighting Shakira’s ability to reinvent herself as an international pop icon without losing her signature style.
