Aric Almirola and Sam Mayer were in a close race at Martinsville Speedway, with Almirola leading 148 of the 251 laps. However, a rough night for Brandon Jones, who missed a shift on a restart and caused multiple cars to stack up on the outside lane, forced a red flag. When the race resumed, Mayer made contact with Sheldon Creed, allowing Almirola to pull away and secure his fifth career Xfinity Series win.

Almirola also claimed the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus as he was one of the eligible drivers in this race. The other drivers eligible for the bonus at Texas are Mayer, Chandler Smith (the points leader), Justin Allgaier and Sheldon Creed.

The Stage winners were Almirola and Allgaier with notable performances from Mayer, Kvapil, Williams among others. However, it was not all good news for some drivers like Austin Hill who got damaged in a pile-up caused by Jones’ mistake. Heim, Allmendinger and Retzlaff were also eliminated in this incident.

The next Xfinity Series race will be held on April 13 at Texas Motor Speedway where fans can witness another exciting race full of surprises and twists.
