In Chicago, a string of armed robberies took place on Tuesday night. The first occurred in the 1800-block of West 47th Street around 9:50 p.m., where three male suspects entered a business and demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from the register and fleeing in an unknown direction.

The second robbery happened just minutes later in the 1100-block of West 18th Street. Three suspects with handguns entered the business, demanded property from both employees and customers, and struck one of the employees in the head with a handgun before leaving in a silver sedan heading south on May Street. The injured employee declined medical attention.

The third robbery took place at a nearby 7-Eleven store on North Damen Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Three men with handguns entered the store, demanded property from an employee, grabbed money from the register, and fled southbound on Damen Avenue.

No one is currently in custody for any of these crimes, and police have not confirmed if they are connected. Stay tuned to ABC7 Chicago for updates as this story develops.
