The top prize for the World Nature Photography awards went to Tracey Lund from the UK, with her stunning photograph of gannets hunting beneath the waves off the Shetland Islands. The competition featured a variety of captivating images from around the world, highlighting nature’s beauty and raw power.

One winning image depicted two zebras falling victim to a cheetah’s chase, while another showed a playful oxpecker perched on a wild buffalo. Another winner captured an angler fish in the animal portraits category, while yet another moment of tension between two mammals was featured in the behavior category. An underwater photo showcasing crowded fish also won recognition.

Tracey Lund’s winning photograph earned her a cash prize of $1,000 for her work in capturing nature’s complexity and beauty. The competition also included categories such as people and nature, amphibians and reptiles, nature art, urban wildlife, black and white photography, landscapes, and nature photojournalism.

Overall, the World Nature Photography awards showcased a diverse range of images that reflected the beauty and complexity of the natural world.
