Ca Mau Fertilizer (PVCFC) recently obtained a certificate to export bulk fertilizer, specifically granular urea, to the Australian market. The company representative stated that the process of obtaining import certificates for Australia began towards the end of 2023 and was finalized in April of this year. PVCFC worked closely with authorities in Australia to assess the entire production process and shipping route.

Australia is known to be a challenging market to import fertilizer, but it offers high prices, making it an attractive opportunity for PVCFC. In order to meet the standards required for the Australian market, PVCFC focused on improving quality in all aspects of the process, including transportation, loading, and unloading. The company ensured optimal quality by increasing loading and unloading speeds, surpassing the average level of exporters worldwide. The official confirmation of the certificate was received on April 16, making Ca Mau Fertilizer the first Vietnamese enterprise to be granted this privilege.

In February of this year, PVCFC prepared for its first shipment of urea to Australia with the new certificate in hand. With this move, Ca Mau Fertilizer is now able to complete export procedures within the demanding Australian market. This is part of PVCFC’s strategy to expand its international business amidst challenges in the fertilizer industry, such as fluctuating raw material prices, decreased fertilizer prices, low domestic demand, and intense competition with imported fertilizers.

PVCFC’s proactive approach in seeking export opportunities has been successful in generating revenue. By the end of 2023
