A Zoarville man is currently in jail awaiting formal charges from the county prosecutor’s office after a series of recent break-ins. The incidents include break-ins at the Dollar General in Roswell, Tusky Valley Elementary, and the Atwood Dari Bar.

Deputy Chase Newell, part of the sheriff’s office, responded to an alarm at the Dollar General in Roswell around 3:40 am on a Friday. Upon reviewing security camera footage, he identified a truck that was seen at all three locations and entered it into a state database.

Authorities were led to the suspect’s home, where they discovered that he was attempting to alter the appearance of the truck. The 39-year-old suspect is accused of stealing Chromebooks from the elementary school office, in addition to cigarettes, food, and drinks from the other locations.

Sheriff Campbell has revealed that his deputies are collaborating with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office to determine if the suspect was also responsible for a recent theft from a Dollar General store in Sherrodsville. Additionally, the suspect was found in possession of a pop-up camper that had been reported stolen from Stark County.

Investigations are ongoing, and further details will be released as the case progresses.
