Boston, MA-based Wentworth Institute of Technology is currently seeking a dedicated individual to serve as the primary assistant coach for their men’s basketball team. This part-time position requires a significant time commitment and may require relocation.

The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills, a Bachelor’s degree, and be willing to relocate to Boston or the surrounding area. A personal vehicle with a clean driving record is essential, as well as a willingness to undergo a background check. While coaching or recruiting experience is preferred, it is not required. CPR certification is also preferred but not mandatory.

As the primary assistant coach, responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program, including evaluating and recruiting potential student-athletes, managing practice and game video technology, organizing player development sessions, scouting opponents, overseeing team social media, monitoring academics and more. Occasional game administration for Fall and Spring sports may also be required.

The compensation for this position includes a stipend of $12,000 with the opportunity to earn additional income through camps, training or other side jobs. However, this position does not include benefits such as housing or tuition assistance.
