On Saturday, March 23, the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois had a representative present at the Aurora African American Health Coalition health fair. This event, now in its 17th year, was held at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora and was open to the public for free.

The health fair featured various vendors including Mutual Ground Inc. and the Family Service Association of Greater Elgin. Attendees had the opportunity to visit information booths set up by vendors and receive free health screenings. Physicians and nurses were also on hand to answer any general health questions that visitors had. In addition to the health-related activities, there were children’s activities available, as well as a light breakfast and snacks for all attendees to enjoy.

Overall, the health fair provided a valuable opportunity for the community to learn more about health and wellness, as well as connect with local healthcare providers and organizations. The event was a great success in promoting health awareness and education among residents of Aurora and beyond.
