Paquin expressed her passion for independent filmmaking, which originally drew her to the industry due to its focus on storytelling with honesty and truth.

“It hasn’t been easy,” Paquin shared with People about needing a cane to walk. She also mentioned that the health issue affected her speech, but there is hope for a full recovery. However, the exact details of the health issue have not been disclosed.
