Last night, hundreds of people gathered in Caesarea near the private residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to protest his leadership. The demonstration was part of a recent mobilization effort to increase pressure on Netanyahu and push for new elections. One of the participants in the protest, Amos Malka, a former head of Israeli military intelligence, accused Netanyahu of abandoning hostages held by Hamas, stating that the prime minister is refusing to take necessary action.

Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, demonstrators also gathered in front of the Ministry of Defense headquarters, demanding the government’s resignation and new elections. Sixteen people were arrested during the protests. In addition to these protests, concerns about hostage negotiations persist among families of captive soldiers held by Hamas. The father of the only US-born soldier held by Hamas expressed doubt about Netanyahu’s commitment to securing their release, suggesting that the prime minister prioritizes winning the war over negotiating prisoner releases.
