A corn snake named Agnus miraculously survived a long cold spell and an attack from crows, thanks to the quick actions of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). The RSPCA received a report of a 90cm long corn snake on the roof of a garage in Spennymoor, County Durham, England. Expert John Lawson at the RSPCA explained that Agnus was caught by a crow but released when it realized it couldn’t handle its prey.
Despite snakes not being able to generate their own body heat and relying on their environment to maintain their temperature, Agnus managed to survive the cold weather.
