In Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals, the Boston Celtics staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the Indiana Pacers 114-111, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead. Despite missing star guard Tyrese Haliburton due to a hamstring strain, the Pacers had built a sizable lead of 84-66 with six minutes left in the third quarter. However, the Celtics managed to rally and secure the win with a crucial three-point play by Jrue Holiday, who was battling fever and was cleared to play just before the game.

Holiday, a veteran of 15 years in the NBA, finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals despite feeling unwell earlier in the day. He credited rest and determination for his performance. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while Jaylen Brown added 24 points to the winning effort.

The victors of the Eastern Conference finals will go on to face either the Dallas Mavericks or the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA finals. The Mavericks currently hold a 2-0 series lead in their matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals. The Celtics’ resilience in Game 3 has brought them closer to securing their first championship title since 2008.
